Turning Engineering Specifications Into Commercial Copy Without Overstating Anything
The gap between a data sheet and a sales page is real, and closing it without overstating anything is the actual craft.

A data sheet tells an engineer what a product does: the accuracy, the operating range, the tolerance, the certifications it holds. That document is precise by necessity, and it is written for a reader who already understands why each of those specs matters. Commercial copy has a different job. It has to explain to a broader set of technical buyers, not all of whom read data sheets for a living, why a given spec is the reason to choose this product over the alternative. Doing that without inflating the claim is the actual work.
Features are not benefits, and the gap between them is where claims get overstated

The word accurately is doing real work in that sentence. It is easy to translate a feature into a benefit that sounds more dramatic than the spec actually supports, and a technical buyer, or the trade editor reviewing the submission before them, will catch that gap immediately.

What the translation actually looks like
- Start from the spec, not from the adjective a marketing team would default to
- Identify the specific application where that spec is the deciding factor for the buyer
- State the benefit in terms the buyer's own engineering team could verify against the data sheet
- Leave out the superlative if the spec does not support it
This is also the same discipline behind the firm's stated goal of turning engineering and product knowledge into credible thought leadership and reusable sales tools, content that a sales team can hand to a prospect and that holds up under a technical buyer's scrutiny rather than falling apart on the first follow-up question. Copy that survives that scrutiny is the copy that actually shortens a sales cycle, because the buyer's own engineers have already had their questions answered before the first call.

A case study does not ask a reader to trust an adjective. It shows a spec applied to a real problem and lets the result carry the argument.
